The Nanda is a Meenakari collar necklace set with matching earrings, made in brass and finished with red and green Meenakari enamel work, pearls and American Diamond. Meenakari is hand-coloured enamel set into metal, and it is what gives the red and green their depth. It is a softer, more painterly look than stone-set jewellery, and unmistakably traditional.

What is Meenakari?
Meenakari is a traditional Indian craft in which coloured enamel is filled into engraved metal and then set, giving flat areas of rich colour rather than the sparkle of cut stones. It is closely associated with Rajasthan, and it is why Meenakari jewellery looks painted rather than studded.
Is the Nanda real gold or real pearl?
No. It is premium fashion jewellery made in brass with Meenakari enamel work, pearls and American Diamond. It is not real gold and the pearls are not natural pearls.
Will the enamel chip or fade?
Meenakari enamel is durable in normal wear, but it can chip if the piece is knocked against a hard surface. Put it on last, take it off first, and store it in its own pouch rather than loose with other jewellery.

How do I care for Meenakari enamel?
Put it on after perfume and makeup, wipe gently with a soft dry cloth, never scrub the enamel, keep it away from water and chemicals, and store it in a zip-lock pouch on its own so nothing knocks against the coloured surface.
Can I return it?
Yes. Raise a return within 48 hours of delivery with clear images. Approved returns must be unused and in original packaging, and are resolved as Peacoski store credit. Read the full terms on our Return and Refund Policy page.
