The Nicoletta is a multi-strand mint green bead choker with a deep maroon Kundan centrepiece, gold crescent motifs and a matching pair of earrings.
What makes this one different
Most Kundan chokers are built on a solid metal collar. The Nicoletta is built on beads — close-set strands of mint green crystal beads that curve around the neck, with the Kundan work placed as stations along them rather than covering the whole piece. That construction is what gives it its particular look: soft green mass on either side, and then all the weight of decoration concentrated in one deep maroon centre. It is a quieter, more traditional silhouette than a full Kundan collar, and it reads beautifully against a red or maroon outfit rather than competing with one.
The set
One choker necklace and one pair of matching earrings. The necklace runs six strands of mint green crystal beads from each shoulder into a gold Kundan centre: a large oval maroon stone carved with a gold floral motif, framed in white Kundan and edged with a fine border of small white pearls. A gold Kundan crescent sits on either side of the centrepiece, and a small round medallion with a maroon centre punctuates each bead section further out. It fastens at the back with a push-button clasp and an adjustable dori strung with pearls. The earrings echo the centrepiece — a maroon oval top with the same gold motif, a row of pearl and green bead drops, then a white Kundan crescent finished with a pearl fringe. They fasten with push-back buttons.

Materials, stated plainly
Brass base with a gold polish, set with Kundan stones, mint green crystal beads and pearls. This is premium fashion jewellery: the white stones are Kundan and not diamonds, the maroon centre stone is not a ruby, the green beads are crystal rather than emerald or jade, and the gold tone is a polish rather than real gold. Saying so plainly is the point — it is what lets a piece this elaborate sit at this price.
Where and how to wear it
This is a wedding and festive piece: a sangeet, a reception, an engagement or roka, a Diwali or Navratri evening, a Karva Chauth, a family wedding where you are the sister, the bhabhi or a close friend. It also carries well to a puja or a temple visit, where the traditional bead-and-Kundan silhouette looks entirely at home.
The obvious pairing is red or maroon — a red Banarasi, a maroon silk saree, a deep red lehenga. Green and red is the oldest combination in Indian jewellery for a reason, and the maroon centre stone here picks the outfit up directly rather than sitting apart from it. Beyond that, it works on ivory, cream, gold tissue, mustard, rust and bottle green. Be careful with pink and orange, where the maroon can look muddled rather than deliberate.
Being a choker, it sits high and close at the base of the neck. Wear it with a neckline that leaves the throat open — a deep V, a sweetheart, a round neck that sits lower than the beads, or an off-shoulder blouse. It will not sit correctly over a high neck or a closed collar; with those, wear the earrings on their own. The push-button clasp and dori together let you set how snugly it sits, so it works across different neck sizes.
Keep hair up or swept aside so the earrings show, and let the necklace be the loudest thing you are wearing — this is not a piece to layer.
Care
Last on, first off. Wipe with a soft dry cloth after wear and store flat and separately in a zip-lock pouch with the air pressed out, away from perfume, moisturiser and water. Support the beaded sections when you lift it rather than letting it hang by one end, and undo the clasp to take it off rather than pulling it over your head.

Frequently asked questions
Is this real gold, and is the red stone a ruby?
No to both. The Nicoletta is premium fashion jewellery — a brass base with a gold polish, set with Kundan, crystal beads and pearls. The maroon centre stone is not a ruby, the white stones are Kundan rather than diamonds, and the gold tone is a polish with no karat value. It is priced accordingly.
What are the green beads?
Mint green crystal beads, strung in six close-set strands on each side of the necklace. They are crystal, not emerald or jade.
Is this a choker or a regular necklace?
A choker. It sits high and close at the base of the neck rather than at the collarbone.
What comes with this set?
One choker necklace and one pair of matching earrings.
Does it include a maangtikka?
No. This set is a necklace and earrings only. Some Peacoski sets include a maangtikka and most do not — the inclusions are always listed on each product.
How does it fasten, and will it fit me?
It closes with a push-button clasp and an adjustable dori at the back, so you set how snugly it sits. Between the two, it is designed to fit a range of neck sizes rather than one fixed length.
How do the earrings fasten?
With push-back buttons.
Will this go with a red or maroon saree?
Yes — that is the pairing it is built for. The mint green beads lift a red or maroon outfit, and the maroon centre stone ties back into it so the set looks intentional rather than added on. A red Banarasi, a maroon silk saree or a deep red lehenga are all natural matches.
What else can I wear it with?
Ivory, cream, gold tissue, mustard, rust and bottle green all work well. Pink and orange are the ones to be careful with, since the maroon can read as muddled against them rather than deliberate.
What neckline do I need for a bead choker?
Something that leaves the throat open — a deep V, a sweetheart, an off-shoulder, or a round neck that sits lower than the beads. A choker will not sit correctly over a high neck or a closed collar. With a high-necked blouse, wear the earrings on their own.
How do I look after the beads?
Store the necklace flat rather than hanging, so the strands are not left under tension, and keep it in its own sealed pouch away from other pieces. Wipe it with a soft dry cloth after wear, and keep water, perfume and sanitiser away from both the beads and the Kundan.
Will it tarnish?
Fashion jewellery finish depends on how it is worn and stored. We do not make an anti-tarnish claim on this set. With careful storage — wiped dry, kept in a sealed pouch, away from perfume and water — the finish stays richer for longer.
Is it a good gift?
Yes. It arrives in premium gift-ready packaging, and because the choker adjusts on a clasp and dori and there is no sized piece in the set, you do not need to know her measurements.
Can I see it before I buy?
Yes. Peacoski offers a live video-call product showcase. We will show you the set on camera, explain the detail and compare it against other pieces, so you are not deciding from photographs alone.
