The Gajkesari is a temple collar necklace set with a matching pair of earrings. A slim gold band lined with small American Diamonds carries a row of little gold elephants, each with a fringe of pearls beneath it. Between them sit heart-shaped ruby pink and green coloured stones with tiny drops. The earrings repeat the elephant below a ruby pink stone top.
What temple jewellery means
Temple jewellery comes from the gold ornaments once made for temple deities in South India, and it is known for its rich gold look and its sacred and natural motifs. The elephant is one of its most loved symbols, linked with strength, wisdom and good fortune, which is why it appears so often in wedding and festive jewellery.
What makes this one different
Most temple necklaces are heavy and wide. The Gajkesari weighs just 49 g, so you get the elephants, the pearls and the ruby pink and green stones in a piece you can wear comfortably from morning puja to evening dinner. It is the temple set to choose when you have a long day ahead.
The set
A gold-polish collar with elephant motifs, a line of American Diamonds, heart-shaped coloured stones and pearl fringes, tied with a dori at the back. The earrings have a ruby pink stone top, an elephant drop with small white stones, and a pearl fringe. They fasten with push-backs.

Premium fashion jewellery in brass with a gold polish. The white stones are American Diamond, a stone cut for diamond-like sparkle, not a real diamond. The ruby pink and green stones are coloured stones, not rubies or emeralds. The fringes are pearls. You get the traditional temple look without the cost or worry of real gold.
Where and how to wear it
Made for temple visits, pujas, Onam, Pongal, Navratri, Diwali, Karva Chauth, haldi, mehendi and family weddings. Being light, it also works for a festive day at the office. It looks most at home with a Kanjivaram, Banarasi or other silk saree, a half-saree or a lehenga, and it sits beautifully on green, teal, mustard, maroon, cream and gold. Wear it with a round, boat or V neckline so the elephants show. With a high neck, wear the earrings alone.
Care
Put it on after perfume and makeup. Wipe with a soft dry cloth after wear, keep it away from water, perfume and sanitiser, and store it flat in its own zip-lock pouch with the air pressed out so the pearl fringes don't tangle.
