The Trivenika is a South Indian Jadau necklace set in gold polish, with a matching pair of chandbali-style earrings. A row of carved gold motifs runs around the neck, each above a crescent of ruby pink stones, with a deep fringe of pearls and green crystals below and a large pendant at the centre.
What Jadau work means
Jadau is the traditional way of setting stones directly into the gold so they sit flush with the metal, in dense, rich patterns. It is the look of royal and bridal jewellery. The Trivenika uses it in the South Indian style, in crescents of ruby pink stones, then softens all that colour with a full fringe of pearls and pale green crystals, so the set looks generous rather than heavy.
